Trials come.
I mean it is a matter of fact, right?!
We all know that that is absolutely the way things tend to work…
And it is what you do in those moments that define who you are…
Do you retreat and become weak?
Do you try to find the good old days when you convince yourself everything was better or do you look your fears in the face and stay on course to the life you desire?
YES, YOU WILL FACE TRIALS on the path to your best life…
Actually, you will face trials on whatever path you find yourself and so you may as well, get yourself on the path that leads to something amazing, rather than going through a trial and getting absolutely nowhere!
I usually think about it like this…
The Chronic endless pain
Or the Acute pain that ends with something powerful in return?
Most people settle for the chronic, ongoing pain that carries on and on with no end in sight because they settle into a life that is not all that great…
The path of least resistance and a world of silent pain…
Doing work you don’t like…
With people you don’t like…
Hoping, HOPING that you will get to retire and then maybe, do what you want to do…
A life of chronic pain that never ends…
You are dead even before you die…
That feels like a stinky life to me but I can see the attraction – It is predictable. You know you will face pain and so you just settle into it and try to find some happiness. You convince yourself that you cannot do anything about it because everyone around you lives exactly the same way. You watch to see what the politicians are up to and you wonder how that will affect your life. You worry when the masses worry and you are excited when a ‘good’ politician is voted in and will of course, save you from yourself.
OK, I lie. I don’t see the attraction!
I prefer the acute pain…
Yes, it can be intense…
Yes, you will wonder if you are deluded…
If you are allowed…
If you have what it takes…
And then you keep pushing through…
Keep designing your own path…
Keep being your own person…
And you win!
You get to a whole new level…
One that makes you proud because you KNOW what it took to get you there and you know you are becoming incredibly powerful. That you are living to the fullness of your potential!
So honey, you will have trials – It is a given!
Which kind do you want?
Those that make you stronger or those that just maintain the status quo until you die?
The choice is yours.
I suggest you fight for and deliberately design the life you are born to live…
