Breakfast at The Worsley Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club

This weekend we were invited to Worsley Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club to sample their award winning breakfast which was voted the Best Breakfast in the North West by trivago, after assessing over 175 million reviews. Worsley Park serve breakfast between 6:30 and 11am on weekdays and 7 and 11am on weekends, for a very reasonable cost of £16 for the full buffet breakfast or £12 for the continental and if you are lucky enough to be staying in the Hotel then you can simply add the breakfast on to your overnight stay for only £10.

On arrival at the Grill situated within the beautiful hotel it was easy to see why it had won an award for breakfast. The atmosphere was relaxed, the dinning room clean and organised with polite and friendly staff, and the biggest selection of breakfast foods on offer that I have ever seen in an English hotel.

True to form we started with a coffee whilst deciding what to sample, or at least what to sample first as between the two of us I think we managed to cover all most everything.

You can choose from

  • Cereals
  • Continental cheese and hams
  • Smoked salmon
  • Toast
  • Fruit and yogurts
  • Pastries
  • Porridge
  • Cooked breakfast
  • Made to order omelettes
  • Waffles

There really is something for everyone.

I started with toast and some blackcurrant jam and then had some fruit with Greek yogurt topped with coconut. It was so delicious and fresh and the option of toppings such as dried banana and coconut shows they have thought of everything.

After already eating more than I normally would at breakfast we had a little break before heading up to to the breakfast buffet. Despite it already being 10am and the breakfast rush coming to an end the chefs were still bringing out freshly cooked ingredients. The highlight of the cooked breakfast for me were the sausages, they were so tasty and an absolute must if you do decide to dine here.

The hubby had been eyeing up the waffles from the minute we arrived and he wasn’t disappointed. It was made to order so as fresh as could be and with an array of toppings to choose from you can have your waffles just the way you want them.

From our visit to the Worsely Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club it is clear to see why they won the award for the Best Breakfast in the North West and we will definitely be visiting again, hopefully with an overnight stay too.
