Canadian-born Suze is best known these days for the rapidly growing and increasingly popular site she runs to help people improve their writing skills across a wide range of disciplines … HowToWriteBetter.net.
Suze emerged from British education with a couple of “A” levels and no talent for anything other than writing, so her career options were clear. After graduating from the then-famous Watford Art School she worked in London ad agencies as a copywriter for a few years, before deciding she was too bolshie to be employed and so went freelance.
These days Suze still works as a writing consultant, advisor and editor in addition to running her other business interests and of course, writing nonfiction books – 20+ published titles so far.
On a less cheerful note, Suze has had cancer twice and a few years ago started the blog Cancer Comic Strip which has become a popular meeting place for cancer patients, their carers, families and friends.
Suze lives in a village in central southern England with her student son plus various animals including a fox under the shed and a visiting badger. When she isn’t writing Suze is cooking, gardening, dog-walking, or sipping a decent Chablis.
